Professor Pasquale Caponnetto, member of CoEHAR (Center of Excellence for the Acceleration of Harm Reduction) and Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Catania, will be one of the keynote speakers at the prestigious International Conference on Clinical Psychology organized by Qatar University, scheduled for Thursday, May 29 and Friday, May 30, at the College of Education, Qatar University, in Doha.
“The First Conference on Integration Between Psychology and Other Sciences” represents a pioneering scientific initiative at both the national and Arab levels. The event stands out as one of the most significant academic gatherings in the region in the field of psychological sciences, and will host experts and researchers from around the world.
Professor Caponnetto’s contribution will focus on an innovative and highly relevant topic: “Cyber Health Clinical Psychology and Tobacco Harm Reduction.” His presentation will explore how digital technologies can be integrated into clinical practice to enhance psychological interventions, particularly in the areas of smoking cessation and the promotion of healthier lifestyles.
“Clinical psychology is entering a new era—the digital era. Cyber Health enables us to reach, support, and treat patients in ways that were unimaginable just a few years ago. A modern, integrated approach to harm reduction is essential for global public health,” said Professor Caponnetto.
